Wednesday, April 28, 2021 (11:00 AM - 12:15 PM) (CDT)

Description

The ASCE T&DI Louisiana Chapter is pleased to present this informative discussion concerning need to know information related to pervious concrete. Abstract: Pervious concrete is an increasingly popular way to satisfy storm water management for industry and public works projects. Schools and local governments are looking to pervious concrete to meet storm water permitting requirements in communities across the country. Residential and business sidewalks and parking are also great applications. This seminar will attempt to answer your questions concerning this effective and long lasting solution. How do I specify pervious concrete? Who does the concrete mix design and does the contractor need to be experienced or certified? What is the concrete producer's responsibility? Who actually certifies the builders of pervious concrete? How strong is the product and how long does it last? Is maintenance required? How do I know if I am getting a quality product? Communities increasingly are asking these questions and we have located the foremost expert in the country to answer these questions and more. The National Ready Mix Concrete Association sponsors certification of workmen at three levels: Technician, Installer and Craftsman. This will be a free virtual seminar through Zoom. Attendance is limited to the first 300 registrants through Constant Contact. Once successfully registered, Constant Contact will provide the link to access Zoom. The Louisiana ASCE T&DI invites you to join us for this planned 60-minute information opportunity that is free to all that register. T&DI will issue a certificate for one (1) PDH credit to all those that register and attend. Speaker: This seminar will be presented by Mr. Kenneth M. Justice, P.E., LEED AP, Senior Director, Local Paving for NRMCA. Ken is one of the few Craftsmen and trainers certified by NRMCA.
