Ascension Parish Council Meeting - Moratorium Vote

Join the home building industry for the Ascension Parish Council meeting stand in opposition of the proposed ordinance on the Temporary Moratorium Regarding New Development. Please view the agenda HERE.

During the Public Hearing for the ordinance, members will have the opportunity to speak for up to 3 minutes on why we oppose the moratorium. 

• Information for Council Meetings: 
  • Wear RED to be visible to other members, residents and council members. 
  • Complete a RED public speaker card - not in support, located at the entrance of the room. You do not have to speak.

• HBA Key Message: The HBA continues to encourage the parish administration to collaborate with industry to help create a plan that includes residential and regional infrastructure maintenance and improvements, such as: 
  • Assist local HOA’s with plans to assess and maintain roads and drainage. 
  • Provide input on zoning and development ordinances. 
  • Convene leadership across city, parish, and regional boundaries to maximize allocated and future opportunities for investments in drainage.
