Welcome to K to Z Interiors & Outdoor Living, your go-to source for premium interior and outdoor living solutions in Louisiana. Our story began over 25 years ago with a deep family legacy in the window treatment industry.

In 1996, Brandon Barton, our founder, was introduced to the business by his grandparents. While attending college, Brandon began working with his grandmother, Jean Holmes, who had started the company as a side project to earn extra income. As an accomplished seamstress, Jean’s talents led her to create beautiful, high-quality drapery. One morning, during a conversation over coffee, Jean shared her plans to retire, and in 1997, Brandon took the reins of the family business, which was then known as Jean’s Window Coverings.

At the time, the business was small, completing only 4-5 projects per year. But Brandon, driven by his passion and work ethic, worked tirelessly to expand the company’s offerings. Over the next several years, Jean’s Window Coverings grew from a custom drapery service to a full-service interior window treatment company, offering blinds, shades, plantation shutters, and drapery solutions.

In 2004, Brandon decided to rebrand the business to K to Z Window Coverings. Why “K to Z”? The name was inspired by his two children at the time, Katelynn and Zachary, with future family members born between the letters K and Z, including Rileigh (2006) and Shane (2020). This name also symbolized Brandon’s desire to offer a comprehensive range of solutions, from A to Z.

As the years passed, Brandon saw a growing trend in the outdoor living market. Recognizing an opportunity, he introduced exterior motorized and manual shades to the product lineup. As demand for outdoor solutions grew, the company expanded its offerings to include more outdoor living products.

Then came the global disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic. During these challenging years, both the interior and outdoor markets saw tremendous growth, and K to Z Window Coverings experienced an exponential rise in business. In 2021, Corey Barton, Brandon’s brother, joined the team as Installation Manager. After years of envisioning a partnership, Brandon and Corey brought their expertise together, with Corey’s background in All Around Exteriors complementing Brandon’s vision for expansion.

In 2025, to reflect our growing expertise in both interior and outdoor living, we rebranded once more to K to Z Interiors & Outdoor Living. Today, we offer a comprehensive range of products, including blinds, shades, plantation shutters, draperies for the interior, and motorized shades, retractable awnings, aluminum shutters, standing seam awnings, operable pergolas, patio covers, screen enclosures, and more for outdoor living.
