The Concrete & Aggregates Association of Louisiana (CAAL) is the local sponsoring group providing the Pervious Concrete Contractor Certification. The goal of this certification program is to ensure that knowledgeable contractors are selected to place the product and thereby minimize the chance for failure. This certification has been developed by the NRMCA and will be an important advantage for anyone interested in this expanding market.
Course Content: Fundamentals of Pervious Concrete, Mixtures and Production, General Design Principles, Preparation, Placing and Finishing, Maintenance and Troubleshooting and Checklists for planning, design & construction.
We are offering the certification both virtually or in-person. The certification seminar will be from 8:30am to 12:30pm and the exam will begin at 1:00pm. Participants will be given up to two hours to take the exam. Each
participant will receive the Pervious Concrete Contractor Certification Textbook prior to the seminar to review and study for the exam. For in-person, seats are limited, register early. Also, bring your textbook with you to class and lunch will be provided.
Cost: Seminar & Certification Exam (includes textbook): $200 per Member/DBE $250 per Non-member Seminar Only (includes textbook): $75 per member $100 per Non-member Exam Only: $125 per person
